How to reset Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication when device changes?
Dooap PowerBI reports (Dooap Analytics) require users to log in using MFA.
Below you can find instructions on how to proceed when your device changes.
💡After setting up the Authenticator App, we recommend adding your phone number as a secondary authentication method. This will ensure you can still log in if you lose your device. Instructions on setting up SMS method.
Please note that you should either have access to your old device or have added your phone number as a secondary authentication method to successfully activate MFA on a new device.
In case you don't have access to your old device anymore and haven't added your phone number as a secondary method, please contact your organization's Dooap key user. They will request Dooap support to reset the MFA devices in your account.
Adding MFA to a new device
- Log into Microsoft My Sign-ins.
- In top right corner, select your Profile icon and Switch Organization.
- Select Dooap Oy.
- If prompted for MFA, use your old device.
- If you don't have access to the old device, click "I cannot use my authenticator" and select SMS.
- If you haven't register a phone number as a recondary method, contact your organization's Dooap key user.
- Click Add sign-in method, and complete the wizard with your new device.
Q: I did this already for my own organization. Should I do it again for Dooap?
A: Yes. Each Entra ID domain has its own set of MFA (multi-factor authentication) device registrations, which also applies to guest users. This means that even if you've already registered your new device with your own organization, you'll need to register it again for any guest accounts you have in other organizations.
