How to manually import data from D365/AX2012? What does AX Import mean?
There is a seamless integration between Dooap and D365/AX2012. Some master data is automatically imported into Dooap twice a day, some data every 5 minutes and some data in real-time.
- Key data elements: tax codes, main accounts, and user information, are automatically synchronized twice daily.
- Certain essential data: vendors, purchase orders, and product receipts, are updated within 5 minutes of any changes in the master record.
- This data requires no manual intervention.
- Invoice handling data: account structures are fetched in real-time during the invoice coding process.
- This ensures accuracy and efficiency in your financial workflows.
AX Import is managed in Admin > AX Import view. There, you can also see the timestamps of the latest imports regarding each data.
AX Import
For added flexibility, users with Admin or AxImport permissions can initiate a manual import, particularly useful after updates like adding new users in D365. This manual import is called AX Import in Dooap.
- Navigate to Admin > AX Import in Dooap.
- Select the data to import.
- If you want to import all master data, simply click Import.
- If you only want to only import some data, click Deselect all and then click the checkbox next to that data you want to import. After selecting the data, click Import.
- You can navigate to other views in Dooap whilst the import - that does not stop the import from proceeding.
- Once the import is completed, the timestamp will be updated. The Executor column will then also display the name of the user who completed the manual import.
- After manually importing the data, refresh Dooap by pressing F5 on your keyboard or by clicking the refresh button in your browser bar.
